Lake 'Razna' is really called 'Latgalian sea' due to the biggest
displacement of all the lakes of Latvia. (405 millions m3). It's average
depth is 7 meters, the deepest place - 17m.Discovering for yourself the beauty of the lake, you will know 'Latgalian sea' in all it's greatness and peculiarity. There is such a variety of fish in that lake which you never find in other lakes of Latvia - 27 kinds of different fish, which is almost 90% from all kinds of fish which live in waters of Latvia. Part of them - carp, pike, perch were brought to the lake in artificial way as a result of people's activity. There is also sig in lake Razna which you can hardly find in others lakes. The analysis of fish caught in Latvia gives a real idea about characteristic peculiarities of lake Razna. In spite of its area which is only 5% from all the lake areas in Latvia the quantity of fish caught in Latvia up to 10% from the whole annual fish catch in country comes from this lake  "Neither
tail nor fish scale" can we wish to everybody who is going fishing for
bream, eel, roach, perch, make up to 80 % from the whole fish caught at
lake Razna. However the length of bream, which is possible to catch at
the lake fluctuates from 24cm to 50 cm and weight from 200 gr. to 2360
gr. Worldly wise fishermen manage to catch so much fish that nobody who
loves fishing could be indifferent.On working days not less than a hundred fishermen are fishing on lake Razna, and during weekends the quantity of fisherman triples. During winter more than a thousand fishermen gather on the ice and enjoy underground fishing of the lake. And then - who knows who will be lucky. |
